Blog Hop & Giveaway: A Little Too Hot by Lisa Desrochers

I have something VERY special and fun for you guys today from Lisa Desrochers!!! It is a choose-your-own-night quiz! It’s a quiz that lets the player decide how their night is going to turn out by making various decisions. After you choose-your-own-night, leave a comment on this blog post for your chance to win a $25 gift card!!! First, let’s read a little bit about the book!!

a little too hot

If you play with fire…

Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen’s club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny’s: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.

Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he’s got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming.

Because Harrison Yates isn’t who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

THE BEGINNING
Bad news: your boyfriend, Ian, just broke up with you. Of course, he’s a massive jerk because you were the one who caught him cheating. You should have been the one to break up with him! Obviously, that didn’t end up happening, and now you’re spending your first Friday in months all alone—sans boy. You have a walk-in closet with a ton of super cute outfits, so you know you could just get in the shower, make yourself feel clean and pretty, hop into an adorable outfit, and head out for a night on the town. But you also know you could just spend this Friday night ordering diner food, and curling up with your favorite romantic comedy. So, what’s the plan for the night?
You decide to stay in: Go to paragraph two
You decide to go out: Go to paragraph five

PARAGRAPH TWO
You decide that no matter how drop-dead gorgeous you could look tonight, maybe it’s okay to take a night for yourself. You call your favorite diner from around the corner, and pop in the movie you always watch when you’re feeling crappy about yourself. About twenty minutes into the movie, you hear a knock on your door. “Finally,” you say, “my burger is here to soothe my stupid heart.” When you open the door, you are face-to-face with one of the hottest guys you have probably ever seen. His crooked smile makes your heart melt as he offers you the food and receipt. You have to think fast: do you invite the hottie inside and make a night of it? Or do you take the food, smile sweetly, and return to your movie?
You invite him inside: Go to paragraph three
You take the food and go back inside: Go to paragraph four

PARAGRAPH THREE
With a cute tilt of your head, and your dazzling smile, you flirtatiously ask him if he has anything else to do tonight. “No, miss,” he shakes his head slightly, his eyes never leaving yours, “You’re my last delivery of the night.” You bite your lip and nod, “Well, to be entirely honest, I’ve been pretty lonely tonight and could use the company…” You push your door open just a tad and gesture inside with your eyebrow raised. “As long as I wouldn’t be an imposition,” he said, but he was already inside. The first thing he notices is your copy of A LITTLE TOO HOT on the counter where you were reading it earlier in the night. “Is this any good?” he asks as he takes off his jacket to reveal his rippling biceps. Yum. “It’s fantastic, actually,” you reply, “You’re devastatingly hot, just like Harrison is—the guy in the book.” He cracks that crooked smile again as he pulls you in, pushing you against the counter. “You’re not so bad yourself,” he purred.
You take this to the bedroom: Go to paragraph six
You cuddle on the couch: Go to paragraph eight

PARAGRAPH FOUR
Although the delivery boy was impossibly cute, you decide you need a break from boys right now. You need to make your life about you! Plus, you are seriously craving that burger, and had no interest in sharing. You notice your copy of A LITTLE TOO HOT on the counter, and smile to yourself. That’s exactly what you need: an amazing and steamy book to make you forget about stupid Ian. You resume reading it as you savor the burger and fries (and that milkshake, too!), and move to the couch with the book in hand. You manage to not put it down until the very last page, then you drift off, with dreams of Sam and Harrison dancing through your head.
What a fun night! You got to eat your favorite food while reading your new favorite book, and you didn’t even think about Ian once. Definitely a win!

PARAGRAPH FIVE
You are looking beyond fine in your heels, mini-dress, and perfectly applied makeup. You are ready to rock the town! When you get to your favorite club, there’s a line about fifty people long. Luckily, you notice two things: one, a gaggle of your friends are at the front of the line, so you can easily get in with them. Two, the bouncer is mind-bogglingly gorgeous—you could flirt your way into the club easy peasy. Plus, maybe he’d like to join you when he’s on break…
You meet up with your friends: Go to paragraph seven
You flirt with the bouncer: Go to paragraph nine

PARAGRAPH SIX
You and the delivery boy (what was his name again?) waste no time kissing your way to your bedroom. Good thing you cleaned it earlier! All thoughts of Ian and his stupid face drift from your mind as you spend an amazing night with this new guy.
This was the perfect night! Not only did you not think of that stupid cheater, but you also got to spend some quality time with this new boy. It was exactly what you needed!

PARAGRAPH SEVEN
You wave at your friends as you walk up to them, and they squeal when they see how hot you look. They each take turns telling you how they never liked Ian anyway, and that you are way better off without him. “It’s like Sam and Trent in A LITTLE TOO HOT,” your friend Gabby says, “it just wasn’t meant to be!” You laugh and agree, “I definitely need to find my Harrison.” The bouncer lets your group in, and you have an awesome time tearing up the dance floor and feeling all eyes on you and your friends. You thought you’d never get out of the post-Ian slump, but your friends are always there to cheer you up. After a few drinks, and hours of singing and dancing, you knew you made the right decision by spending your time with the girls who love you!
Who needs boys anyway? All you need is a fierce dress, and you group of besties. There is nothing better then spending the night laughing and dancing with the people you love!

PARAGRAPH EIGHT
“Thanks for cuddling with me,” you whisper to Alex, the cute delivery boy. Feeling his strong arms around you makes you feel safe and cared about—something Ian never made you feel. “I can’t believe you got me to admit that I love this movie, too,” he laughs as he strokes your hair lightly. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about,” you say, faux indignant, “It should have gotten an award for how perfect it is.” He laughs, a low rumble in his chest, and you close your eyes as you doze off.
Ian was a total doof, but Alex is a sweetheart! It feels like there’s love in the air, and you can’t wait to follow up this cuddle session with a real date. You finally found your Harrison!

PARAGRAPH NINE
It barely took you a full minute to flirt your way into the club. The delicious bouncer couldn’t take his eyes off you, and you couldn’t help but blush under his eyes. “Hey,” you lean in close to him, “When are you off duty?” The guy looked at the entrance to the club to see another bouncer walk out. “It looks like now,” he winks at you, and gestures to the new bouncer to take his place. Since he works at the club, he gets free drinks, and makes sure you get exactly what you want. After plenty of flirty banter, and gazing into his big, brown eyes, you lean in and kiss him. At first he’s hesitant, but then he’s wrapping his arms around you and kissing you back. You hear your friends behind you saying “Holy crap! Is that her with the bouncer?” Then they start whooping and cheering, “You go girl! Get you some! Looks like you found your Harrison!” You can’t help but giggle, and you pull away to look at your new, gorgeous man. He’s definitely as hot as the hero in A LITTLE TOO HOT! “Friends of yours?” he asks as he shoots you an adorable smile. “How did you guess?” you giggle again, glowing from the inside out as you lean in for another kiss.
You had no idea what to expect when you went out tonight, but you are thrilled you did! Not only did you meet a new guy who is way cuter than Ian, but you got the support from your friends you definitely needed. A fantastic night!
