Blitz & Giveaway: The Good Girl by Emma Nichols

**Please note: this book is rated MA for Adult Situations and the occasional curse word

When Willow Stone discovers that she is in competition with the exotic and worldly Molina for the coveted position of sex advice columnist, she realizes it’s time to up her game. Though she has impeccable writing skills, there’s no denying that a lifetime of being the good girl has left her ill prepared for this position. Realizing it’s her lack of experience that will keep her from achieving this dream, she decides to proposition the bad boy who once lived in her college dorm that always had a stream of women doing the walk of shame from his room on a nearly nightly basis. Surely someone that shallow, that experienced, and that wildly attractive could teach her a thing or twenty.

Only Wyatt has his own plans, and they don’t allow much time for teaching Willow what she would already know if she could just break free of the cool, calculating, proper demeanor that was part of being a Stone. His reputation has served him well through the years and being the black sheep of his family has never bothered him. What does bother him, however, is Willow. She is a mystery to unravel, a present to be cherished, a young woman who just might rock his world by bringing him back into his family’s fold. She was everything they wanted for him and precisely what he had avoided since he started dating.

What will happen when the good girl gets mixed up with the bad boy?

Playlist & Giveaway: Before You by Jenna Bennett

before you

It’s all fun and games

I had a simple plan for spring break.

Sun, sand, and a hot guy. Sex on the beach, with no strings attached.

A chance to get rid of this pesky virginity once and for all.

And when I met Tyler McKenna, I thought I had it made.

Until someone gets hurt

But then girls started turning up at Key West landmarks. Girls who looked like me, but with one crucial difference: They’d all been drugged and relieved of their virginity.

The virginity I still have. The virginity Ty refuses to take.

And now I’ve begun to wonder whether there isn’t more to him than meets the eye.

Suddenly, sex on the beach doesn’t sound so good anymore…

I’m gonna date myself a bit here… not in the sense of going on a date with myself – do people still call it that? – but as in, I’m old.

The playlist for Before You includes songs that were written before many of you were born.

Hell, it might even include a song that was written before I was born.

For those of you who haven’t heard about Before You or the other books in the Sex on the Beach trilogy – Beyond Me by Jennifer Probst and Between Us by Jen McLaughlin – it’s a series, a continuity, three books by three different authors about three best friends from the University of Chicago who go to Key West for spring break, for sun, fun, and sex on the beach.

Cassie is the small-town girl, the careful one, the one who’s never had a serious boyfriend, never had sex… and who thinks she’s ready to take that next step.

And who learns, during a week in Key West, that her virginity isn’t something she should play fast and loose with. That when she gives it to someone, it should matter. He should matter.

And on that note, here’s Cassie’s playlist:

• Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – Cyndi Lauper
• Come & Get It – Selena Gomez
• Love Somebody – Maroon 5
• Just a Kiss – Lady Antebellum
• Two is Better Than One – Boys Like Girls

And because any book about Key West isn’t complete without it:

• Margaritaville – Jimmy Buffett

Feel free to suggest any additions of your own to Cassie’s playlist, if you want. 🙂

Scarlett lives in the Midwest with her sexy husband, two girls, and three furbabies. She dabbled in writing right after college but it wasn’t until she took up blogging about eight years ago that she started writing seriously. When she’s not busy writing steamy stories, she can be found with her nose in a book, camping, or geocaching with her family. She loves Diet Coke, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and 80’s hair bands.

excerpt

I REMEMBER YOU

Oh my god, she was here! This had not been part of her plan at all when she bought that ticket, but she had to admit she was thrilled. Samantha watched Lance walk to the front desk of the hotel. God his ass looked amazing in those leather pants.

She thought back to earlier, watching him during his show, especially during their song. She’d always. Her nipples tightened with excitement as she imagined those fingers moving over her body like they did over his guitar.

She couldn’t help but laugh when Lance started walking back to her, holding up his room key and a naughty smile. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her against him. His embrace felt amazing now as it did back when they were kids.

“Let’s go upstairs,” he murmured into her hair.

She buried her face into his chest for a minute. She nodded against him, not trusting herself to speak and pulled from his embrace. She took his hand without a word and led him to the elevator.

She was going to let this happen tonight, but would this be it? Were they still too different? Could they even make a relationship work? Her eyes stung as she fought back tears. She wanted to be with him tonight, to feel his lips on hers and his hands on her body. In a couple of days he would go back on the road and she worried they’d go their separate ways again. He was a rock star anyway; there was no way he would want to be with someone as plain and simple as her. Right?

She pressed the button to the elevator and gave him a shy smile. As much as she wanted him, she was so nervous. She opened her mouth to say something when the ding of the elevator stopped her.

“About damn time,” he muttered, pulling her into the elevator. When the doors closed behind them, he pressed his hips into her, pinning her between him and the elevator wall, his eyes dark with desire as he looked down at her. Her heart skipped a beat. He looked like a lion that was about to attack its prey.

She gasped, feeling his erection along her thigh. “Oh my god, Lance,” she murmured.

He bent forward, letting his lips blaze a trail from her ear, moving down her neck. He looked up at her and smiled when she let out a whimper. “Still have that spot, huh?” He asked.

No fair he knew her weak spot. “Mmhmm…Lance.” Her hands moved over the front of his t-shirt, pulling it from the waistband of his pants.

His lips continued their assault on her neck. “Yes, baby?” He murmured into her skin.

“I need you,” she whispered, her hands sliding up the inside of his shirt, running her hands over his smooth chest.

“Fuck, Sam, I need you too,” he muttered against her ear. “You keep touching me like that and we won’t even make it to the room.”
