Fighting for Glory by Rickey Teems II Review

fighting for glory

They say we’re living in the last days. Wars, rumors of wars, disease and poverty are at all time highs as religious radicals, The Movement, have sparked a deadly war on American soil to oppose Christian prominence. Their plight to disrupt the United Nations worldwide may soon be recognized as they build an evil alliance of their own. But when Glory takes a surprise vacation to clear her head of personal and political turmoil, she finds herself in the middle of one of the greatest religious discoveries to ever shed light on who Jesus Christ really was, and an unexpected love triangle that may either prevent or provoke World War 3, and one of the deadliest pandemics in Unites States history. Whether for religion or love, everyone is: Fighting for Glory.

Two words. Ten letters. It does not seem like enough to change lives but when a Persian woman yells “Allah Akbar!” and sets off a bomb it is more than enough. Do I have your attention now? Well, those two words definitely caught mine and that is how Rickey Teems II begins his latest novel, Fighting for Glory.

Fighting for Glory is like reading a book about current events: foreign and domestic terrorism, arguments in the Holy Land over which religion is the most authentic, and individuals curious if religion is even necessary. The story is mesmerizing and one that will have you on the edge of your seat with suspense as you try to figure out everyone’s connection to one another. Teems was quite imaginative yet authentic when writing about the mystery of the beginning of religion.

The topic of religion plays a major role in Fighting for Glory but it is not a preachy, faith-deciding book. Yes, it will make you think and possibly challenge some of your beliefs but that is what an excellent book is supposed to do. All of Teems’ previous books have done an exemplary job of intertwining entertainment, social issues, and religion but it is my belief that Fighting for Glory will be a game changer for this up and coming author!
