The Solitude of Passion by Addison Moore

the solitude of passion

When old love and new love collide an impossibility is born.

When Lee Townsend’s husband leaves on a community outreach to China, the last thing she expects is for him to never come back—for him to have tragically met his demise.

Lee goes on to marry his adversary and settles into life and business with him, merging her vineyard with his and creating a worldwide conglomerate.

Five years later a twist of fate brings the past back to her and forces Lee to make a decision that will change the landscape of her life forever.

Secrets emerge, forcing relationships to be examined—magnifying the surprising true underpinnings of her marriage to both Mitch and Max.

Lee’s heart is unwilling to surrender her love for either Mitch or Max.
She must choose to carry forward with the past or present.

Lee has a choice to make.
Mitch can’t figure out how to win.
Max never loses.

I should have known from the beginning that The Solitude of Passion by Addison Moore would bring out different feelings from me. We have one woman, Lee, and two men, Mitch and Max who are in love with her. Mitch and Max used to be the best of friends until something between their two families resulted in them ending their friendship.

Mitch and Lee are married and expecting their first child and all seems ok until he must leave on a business trip to China. In scenes that seem as if they are taken from an action movie or television show and not a contemporary romance novel we are left with Mitch confessing that he is a spy. Lee and all of his other loved ones believe that he is dead and it is quite heartbreaking to read how Lee is coping. On the flipside I believe that Max is an absolute jackass because he says,

“By the time she’s ready to move on, I’ll be all she sees.”

Who is he to take advantage of a widow? This bothered me for a while but it turns into quite a love story until “an old love and new love collide.” Moore writes in such a beautiful and descriptive manner that I could the pain among other emotions that all of the characters experienced throughout The Solitude of Passion.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for some action, adventure, and of course, romance!!!
