Sometimes the right choice can be the deadliest.

When Ellie Watt made the ultimate sacrifice for Camden McQueen, she never thought it would be easy. But walking away with her ex-lover, Javier Bernal, in order to ensure Camden’s safety has brought a whole new set of dangers. With Javier’s plans for Ellie growing more secretive by the moment, Ellie must find a way to stay ahead of the game before her past swallows her whole.

Meanwhile, Camden’s new life is short-lived. Fueled by revenge and pursued by authorities, he teams up with an unlikely partner in order to save Ellie. But as Camden toes the line between love and retribution, he realizes that in order to get back the woman he loves, he may have to lose himself in the process. He might just turn into the very man he’s hunting.

Told in dual POV from Camden and Ellie.

RL’s Book Series: By A Thread

Stella’s future was set, and it was a bright one. She was engaged to a man she adored, and was headed to law school in the fall. Tragically, her perfectly planned future ends just as it was beginning.

With no ties to family or friends, Stella finds herself alone in a new city, spiraling out of control. Her typical day comes to a close with her passed out on the floor; sometimes clothed.

Luckily, her new roommate, essentially a stranger, is dead set on getting Stella past her grief and back to functioning within society. Putting one foot in front of the other, she climbs up from the bottom of a bottle. Even with all her progress, Stella walks through life unfeeling, numb. Defiant, she sends out warning signals for the world to keep away. But, is that what she really wants?

With the steadfast help of a few tight knit friends, she gradually begins to feel again. She starts to savor the flavor of food again; lets herself notice how the handsome bartender glances at her. Still, after allowing herself a fling, she wonders if she will ever be able to let go of her shattered past, fully enjoy the present, or get over what she thought would be her perfect future and with the man who destroyed her heart.

Set the mood for us…when you’re writing, you have to…drink red wine and play music.  Sometimes inspiration hits me though and I write anywhere. I’ve been known to dictate in my car and then type things later.  Also, I wrote one of the most awesome scenes in Seamless while watching my kid and others at Monkey Joes.  I’m proof you can write anywhere.

What has been the most surprising and upsetting part of your literary journey?  Surprising- that people really like and identify with the characters I’ve written and want me to know it. Upsetting- I really have enjoyed every single part of this journey, even bad reviews. I had a blogger say she wanted to walk into a wall while reading BaT and I just laugh and move on.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I know I don’t like all the books that have 5k 5 star reviews.

When you’re not writing, what authors do you enjoy reading? What are you currently reading?

I love reading anything good. Currently, I’m reading Jasinda Wilder, Falling Into You and I just started the Original Sinners series.  Oh, I just finished Defending Jacob, which I LOVED.

If you had to write your life story, what would the title be? How does that title portray your story?

No Regrets.  I never do what’s expected and I follow what my gut tells me most of the time, even when people look at me like I’m insane.  I don’t have regrets, they’re stupid.

What are three things readers might be surprised to learn about you?

I’m a full time lawyer
I don’t cuss around my four year old

I’ve known my husband since the week before my freshman year of college, but we didn’t date (really) until I went to law school several states away from him.

Why do you think what you do matters?

Wow, that’s kind of an amazing question.  As a writer, I write because I feel like I have to and I hope people can lose themselves in my books.  I hope to give them a break from their everyday stresses and laugh at someone, feel heartbreak for someone else and be so caught up in my characters lives they aren’t worried about their lives.  I hope my books comfort them in some way, help them through a painful situation.  All of that is quite presumptuous of me and it is probably that people just want to read a story and I can provide that.

What can your fans look forward to next?

Seamless is the conclusion of Stella’s story.  Then I will be releasing Heart in Wire, which is Patrick’s POV through some of the BaT series and then a year later.

Thank you again for allowing me to interview you on Tiffany Talks Books. Are there any last words for those who are reading this interview?
I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate people taking the time out of their busy lives to read my stories.  It makes my cold heart warm.
